Today 21st September 2011 is World Peace Day – let’s make a special effort to be peaceful in our thoughts, words and deeds towards one another so that by the end of the day there will be more peace in our world. Happy World Peace Day!
Most countries in the world have signed up to the 1981 UN resolution 36/67 declaring International Day of Peace on September 21st.
The resolution states:
“that the International Day of Peace shall henceforth be observed as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence, an invitation to all nations and people to honour cessation of hostilities for the duration of the day …”
Also remember there is an International Peace Conference happening in Dublin, Ireland at which I’m honoured to be speaking and performing at – it will be an inspiration!
